3rd Quarter Postal Meet

The USAWA Postal Series consists of 4 quarterly postal meets, with the grand finale being the USAWA Postal Series.  These Postal Meets may be contested anywhere with the results being sent to the USAWA Postal Meet Director Denny Habecker.  This allows any member of the USAWA to compete in an USAWA competition without the expense of traveling.

The basic rules for entering a USAWA Postal Meet are as follows:

  • Must be a CURRENT member of the USAWA
  • All lifts must be done on the same day
  • USAWA rules apply as outlined in Rule Book
  • 3 attempts allowed with best attempt recorded
  • Bodyweight and Age apply as to the day of lifting
  • Must turn in official scoresheet by deadline
  • Record results on scoresheet in pounds
  • At least 1 certified official required for records
  • May enter with a non-certified judge but will not be eligible for records
  • Scoresheet must be fully filled out
  • No entry fee

MEET RESULTS

2015 USAWA POSTAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

The year of the USAWA postal meets came to a close with the big finale, the USAWA Postal Championships.  Twelve lifters competed in this Championships, with Barry Bryan winning the OVERALL in the men’s division and Ruth Jackson winning the OVERALL in the women’s division.

Our Postal Meet Director Denny Habecker has done a great job of chosing lifts for these meets, and has already announced all the postal lifts for 2016! I will get these meets announced very soon on the website.

Again, a BIG CONGRATS to Barry and Ruth for being crowned our Postal Championships winners and a big thank you to all the other lifters who competed in our postal meet series.

MEET RESULTS
2ND QUARTER USAWA POSTAL MEET

The results are in from the 2nd Quarter USAWA Postal Meet.  Congrats goes to Women’s overall winner Ruth Jackson, and Men’s overall winner Chad Ullom.  The Postal Meet Director Denny Habecker made some good choices for the lifts, as they were lifts contested in the USAWA National Championships.  This allowed all participants in the Nationals to also be entered in this postal meet.  A total of 13 lifters participated, which I consider good participation.
