It was very impressive Ben. They all came off the ground very easily. I should have doubled checked that record for you, I had the dang list!

Ben, I was actually surprised that I had finally gotten that 255, as it took me 3-4 near misses until I finally got an acceptable pull in for the judges. It would be AWESOME to see a 270+ pull!

I know Jesse, I messed up the “memory” part of it. I’m normally like the Rain Man when it comes to grip numbers and performances.

Thanks Chad! And not your fault at all. I didn’t check it since I thought I remembered it right. If I remember right it took me a few attempts to get 254.5lbs for a legal lift anyway. I haven’t been training 2″ vertical bar for the last few months anyway and I was down a full weight class so I thought I’d be lucky to get in the high 220lb range with both hands.

Troy, you have my full respect and attention man! Seriously, that is one hell of a lift and it’s even more impressive because I get the impression (from your muscular build) that you’re probably a strongman competitor but don’t do any specific grip work besides some farmer’s walk and probably thickbar training too.

Troy has one of those natural good grips, as he doesn’t have very big hands. And it is a good thing he has a good grip, cause he don’t know how to walk with farmers to save his life 🙂
