That is an exercise I have never really trained. I do some similar movements on my reverse hyper. It is very important to be well balanced – and the Knee Raise would definitely improve that! Al PS This movement is not an USAWA official lift.
My grandfather used to regularly train with weighted boot (I still have them!) but I never have. I recall him doing several exercises with them and this being one of them.

My best single is about 75-85lbs. I think it helps me have a bit of a higher(therefore longer) stride on Farmer’s events and the yoke carry. It’s great for shin splints.
