I just ran across this on the internet regarding Bill Clark and his influence on marathons.

Bill was a leader on many fronts, but I had no idea that he was also the founder of marathons!
He’s done a lot of really great things and given an outlet to people that want to compete. It’s unfortunate that he’s become so rigid
HE must really be old then, because the marathon was contested in Greece in the 1896 Olympics.

Are you discriminating against Bill because he doesn’t look like a marathoner? He knows what it’s like to be discriminated against!
