I bet that’s good training tool for hub lifts. Btw, do you have any lift as hub lift at USAWA?
I suppose with the 18″ VBAR you could stand on a bench or chair and do Bent Rows to help work the grip in a different way. Even just swinging it around a bit could help as well.

Yes, there is many variations for workload and specially shorter 18″ VBAR is much better tool for training.
Using a 2″ VB as a lever bar is a great training tool for the forearms. There are endless number of lever bar exercises one can do. Just make sure to place a good collar on top of the plates!!!
