He always sprinkles enough of the truth in, but he does tell great stories and that is the most important thing!
I was going to keep this to myself after all the help Al gave me putting my gym together, but now I feel obligated to share it. The plan was we would finish my platform and then do a workout together. I was extremely excited and planned on doing a heavy DL and squat workout and looked forward to Al giving me some tips! It’s really hard to drag that out of him, Al will tell you just enough but always hold back. Anyroad, so we get done and I’m tired but looking forward to an epic workout. “what are we working today?!”. Al says, I was thinking bent rows, maybe pullups then work arms. I didn’t want to say anything, again just feeling appreciative of everything he did so I went along with it. No this is where I really regret not stepping in saying something. The 1st workout, the 1st set in my squat rack was Al doing curls! I thought he was joking or just messing with me, but he did 3 full sets. I could hardly believe it and was at a loss for words! As soon as he left, I had to cleanse my rack and did a heavy squat workout so it is pure! And there have been no curls in there since! I have given explicit instructions to everyone in the family, that is the #2 rule, behind all that safety crap

That is marvelous. One would think that Al would know what a squat rack is for?

Chad –
but how come the only picture that exists from that day of us working out is the one of YOU CURLING IN YOUR SQUAT CAGE!!! hahaha
I’m saving it for the day that I write the story, “how the champ trains when he’s at home.”

Chad, you set yourself up on that one. Al already told me this story and showed me a PICTURE of YOU curling in your squat rack. It’s really sad you feel like you have to throw your ol’ buddy Al under the bus that way when the truth has already been told. I mean…really….do YOU have any photographic proof like Al does? I’ve already seen Al’s proof…where’s yours?
