I hope Al isn’t giving up on hosting the Grip Champs. I saw the news that he stepped down as IAWA President after 12 years. I know that’s not the USAWA…but I hope he’s not stepping away and not hosting contests anymore.

Forgot to mention in my post that I sent Al an email to the address I’ve had on file for a long time. It didn’t go through, and my new phone does not have his phone number. Otherwise I would’ve just asked him.

The past couple of years, this meet has been announced in December or January. I think it is a safe bet that Dino Gym will continue to host this great event for years to come. If Al does not host it, I would be interested in hosting it in Denver.
