I actually noticed that and was intending to comment, but had forgotten by the time I got the forum up. What is the first thing to go? LOL.

I really enjoy watching those videos. One year while we were staying at Arts, we watched old USAWA videos the whole evening. I think it was nationals.

No doubt! It is much appreciated Al. I don’t know where the organization would be without everything that you do.

Well, after watching my daughter’s soccer team finally win in a shootout after a double overtime, we had less than 1 hour to do the meet and get back to our doggie daycare. After my GPS failed me and cost us another 20, we were really pushed! I finished the whole thing in about 40 minutes I think, maybe less. I was happy with what I did, but nothing to write home about in any of the lifts!

That was a great post Dan, lol

I have really enjoyed this discussion. All I can offer is my own anecdotal evidence for what it’s worth. Al talked to me about doing heavy SDL in 2010. I started very light and worked my up to a 400lb triple. I don’t think it would pass in a meet, but I was really happy with it. What it did do for me right away was add about 10% to my deadlift max. I’m not a great deadlifter, but I was stuck around 500 for quite awhile, and I really think they helped bet me to 550. For what it’s worth. That was also after the herniated disc I had in 2009 that put me on the shelf for a good 6 mths

Yes, I went through the results from 2009 and submitted all the meets I was listed as an official.

Lol, thanks guys. It took a bit of time to get through the meet results, but not too bad. I just had to get around to it. Hopefully Al’s article will bring some attention, and we can add a few more to the list!
