Those are great awards….if ET is the benchmark for crappy grip, I come in solidly below the crappy line!
James,
Roger isn’t just some guy taking advantage of the site. He is hosting the Heavy Lift Nationals this year, and I believe they’ve hosted other Usawa events in the past. As for todays, I actually loaded the conversion to my ipad, I struggle with those!Superb!!
Yes it was england. I’ll never forget that day. The worst hangover of my life thanks to the blue whisky. The detox program in the fancy spa Al took me to saved the day! The cold douche was an important part of that program.
I should be able to make that as well. I’d love to make it out to your gym ET!
I was “guest”, not sure why that happened.
We got in Sunday at 11:45pm or something, it’s all a daze. I’m convinced Al did this return flight as a joke. I told him I had to work Monday so I get the itinerary and he just said, Told you I’d get you back for Monday hahaha. This is what coming home was like.
Keep in mind Perth is 14 hours ahead of us
Board a plane at 11pm in Perth. Arrive in Sydney at 7am. (It’s a 4 hour flight and they are 3 hours ahead of Perth) Sydney is now 17 hours ahead of KSWe have a 10 hour layover in Sydney. We take a cab to the city center and jump on a bus tour. Get off and Bondi beach and spend an hour there. We’re both exhausted so we hop a cab to the airport. Al falls asleep so hard in the cab he’s snoring.
Get on the plane in Sydney 4:30pm on Sunday arrive in San francisco at 10am Sunday. Have an 8 hour layover in San Fran
Too exhausted to do anything. We watch football in the airport. Al goes into a bar and gets a diet coke and watches the game while I charge my phone. I get to the table and we both fall asleep and are asked to leave if we aren’t going to order more, LOL.
Board the plane at 6pm and arrive in KC at 11:45 or something. Al and Leslie drop me off in Topeka about 1:15am. I get to bed and get up at 5:30am ready to play catch up at work. Great trip!
🙂
Thom, you are a great guy and your website is totally awesome.
HAHA Chad, did you know I can edit your posts! HAHAHAHAHAHA For others reading this, Thom Van Vleck wrote this, not Chad. His post was deemed “inappropriate” for picking on me.
The meet was a lot of fun! We are having a blast down under!
Dale truly is an amazing man. I knew he had battled some serious illness over the years that I”ve known him, but had no idea it was that extensive! What an inspirational story, thank you very much for sharing Dale. I look forward to seeing you again soon. Vegas?!
Jarrod,
We do have a FB group page.I met those 2 last year at the UFC fan expo with Ault Hagen (sp?). They were really nice guys
I really miss getting to see Steve often. He is a great man! Funny story. A few years ago I was speaking to a Dad on Brees soccer team. We finally started introduced ourselves and he said his name was Scott Steves. I laughed and said I knew a guy named Steve Scott. Turns out, he had been involved in judo and knew Steve!! Funny story!
I didn’t think it could be real. I found them on facebook and their website. They have a gym in KC! crazy!
I’ll be there! Dave Glasgow is the AD, so he’ll be there for sure.
I’ll be there Patna!
