It was awesome to be a part of it for sure! Headed now to Romania for highlander type of event. Hg events are 22 hammer, braemer stone, caber and wfh. Strongman are 115k log for reps???? 110k farmer in each hand for max distance????atlas stone s starting ar 120 but I can’t recall and maybe a medley????.
Should have said but there was live streaming of the Norway event, you can still download but it is $20. Best Highland games I have seen with it coming down to the last event (caber) and 4 guys within 1/2 point! Winner take all! I want to support these guys so I plan to buy when I get home. The scenery was unreal. Brent Abbott provided commentary for the stream
Friday was 400 lb husafelt type stone. Killer
Saturday was an odd shaped 220 lb stone press overhead. Impossible for me. Only 2 able to press. Then a duck walk with granite blocks first was 350 then turn around and go back with 530! Brutal!
Sunday 88 lb stone put then Atlas stones 120 140 160 180 200 kilo. I loaded 160
Fun but exhaustiveI think Al was in the sauce when he wrote the meeting minutes. That or just likes to throw in some things to see if people actually read all that! What did Thom and I do? haha

I agree Dave, great article! I’ve probably said this before, but I remember when Al first started doing All Around, he told me it was like the Highland Games of weightlifting. He was right on with that, I think that’s why so many of us in this area also do HG. It’s the comraderie that keeps me coming back.

I mailed mine today, did it yesterday at Als. Idk why I didn’t think to scan and email it!
That has changed Travis. We couldn’t get real close to the strongman. During the DL comp, though we got some pretty good seats. I wasn’t around for any bobybuilding, I think it may have been in a diff venue. I’m sure that’s still the emphasis.
Thom, my 1st inclination was to put what you thought I was going to, however this is a family site and I didn’t want to get the Hook! hahah!
