Jarrod, There has never been a USAWA comp in Colorado. Lets work together to make this happen sometime next fall. I think the winter would be the best time to do this so maybe I can talk some of my old HG buddies into doing it in their “off-season”. Al

The first line of the USAWA Rulebook for the Fulton Bar lifts states: “Fulton Bar Lifts are approved for all bar lifts using a a Fulton Bar and the rules of the individual lifts.” During the 3rd edition Rulebook review, Bill Clark was adamant it was stated this way. This line specifically states BAR LIFTS and not dumbbell lifts. This may be an issue to address at the National Meeting this year???? Al
Steve – We (the USAWA) only have two approved fulton (2″ handle) dumbbell lifts – the Deadlift – 2 fulton dbs, and the Deadlift – fulton db, one arm. I sure agree with you on this – it seems those other basic dumbbell lifts should also be done with a fulton dumbbell. Al
What time are you getting there? We might be able to pick you up on our way by. But then again, there will be 5 us in the car already so what’s one more! Al

Be careful Big T with what you say or the enforcer will kick you “you know where”! And he kicks hard – I once seen him drop kick a 45# plate 40 feet when he got mad.

The only t-shirts that “the enforcer” wears are ones that his buddies give him for free. I don’t think I have ever seen him wear a shirt that he had to buy himself. Dinoman
Helen, That sounds like a good hotel to me! We haven’t made any reservations anywhere yet. I was leaving that up to Chad but he has “dropped the ball” on it. Do you have a phone number for that hotel that you could post here? I like the idea of all of us staying in the same hotel.

I know, I know…. Nationals is 6 weeks away and no one wants to send in their entries. With the money going out (on awards, venue, tshirts, etc) and none coming in, it makes one feel like they just got suckered into a shady real estate deal – just bought the house but now it’s got condemned!! haha But Thom, I have a good feeling about this one and the entries will come flowing in any day now and you will have a fist full of greenbacks. Well, I fully expect you to be lifting at Nationals!! I hear there is a team award up for grabs and the JWC needs you! We will bringing at least 6 lifters from the Dino Gym (and I don’t plan to lift at this one – I’m going to help out Thom make it a FIRST RATE EVENT, and I got a team to coach), and I think the Ledaig Club is going to have 5 lifters so it is setting up to be a great comp!
