Dennis MitchellDoes anyone know when the mail order for the Atlas Courses stopped?
I would have to say that is one of Dennis’s best stories! I never subscribed to Atlas’s courses, but I checked my “research file” and I have an entire folder filled with promotional literature that I received in the mail regarding the Charles Atlas Courses. Most of this I received in the early 80’s. Al
good one ET!! haha

Ben – 150 pounds was my guess also. But I have a 150 pound anvil, and the ones in the picture look bigger than mine!!! Al
Jarrod, the most important thing about “coming back” from an injury is maintaining a positive mindset. I know – I have had a couple of injury setbacks in my lifting career that at the time made me wonder if I would EVER be able to resume heavy training again. But the body is an amazing thing – and it’s ability to heal and adapt to training always suprises me. Pick things you can focus on (that are within your physcial abilities now) and work them hard, and the improvement you will see will keep your spirits up. Al
haha geez, thanks. Al
Guys – I’m still waiting on more entries!! As they come in I’ll list who “is registered” here. Al PS I just got the meet t-shirts done. I think everyone will really like them. They are very unique, but that’s all I’m saying for now!!

Travis – I was in Warsaw on the 18th and snagged that week. Most of the time I snag on the Osage. In our group there was 12 of us and 3 boats. The last day we ended up with 21 spoonbills – so that is about as good as it gets! It picked up as the week progressed. Maybe next year we might run into each other!!! Al
Travis, NICE FISH!! I’m glad to see that I’m not the only one here that partakes in this redneck fun! What river do you snag in and when did you go? Who knows – we may have been passing each other!! Al
61, Just bring yourself! I’m looking forward to meeting you. The afternoon record day will be more of a demonstation for those coming through the show at York. We will have a table set up to introduce the USAWA to those present. Some of us will be doing lifts (some for record and some not) while others of us will be talking to the attendees. I do not plan to allow everyone who passes by to lift – but I’ll make a special exception for you since you have been a regular on the forum! The only thing you will need to do is become a member of the USAWA (for obvious liability reasons). Al
