here is a link to an article that references some journals, since nobody should take my word for it:

so i can just have a buddy judge the lifts then? honor system, i like it!

i’ll probably be in KS around the holidays, if possible i’d rather just set up a time to come into dino gym & introduce myself anyway.

                  i agree, great lift!

as an aside, the most recent research i’ve read is that you should stretch after lifting, & warm up before. stretching temporarily weakens the muscles & shortens endurance. just my humble two cents 🙂

i think that TGUs are more about pressing stability than pressing power or strength. i imagine you have some strong legs that drive the fingers over, it looks like the pressing strength is secondary to that. just armchair strongmaning over here of course.

had to look up fingal fingers to see what it was. looks like fun! i’m sure TGUs will help out.

noman, there are almost as many programs or schedules as there are lifters. i’m a big fan of louie simmons’ conjugate method, & also of pavel tsatsouline’s athletic training. i would google these guys, as well as others, & see what you like best. i don’t think anyone can prescribe a program for you without know your fitness level, type of work, specific goals, etc. hope this helps,

yeah every year bulking up is a little easier & cutting down is a little harder! 80lbs felt fairly easy the other day, but it was at the end of a 5-set pyramid so thought i had better call it a day. i sure hope i can get 100lbs in a couple months but you never know til you get there.

hey great work hitting 100lbs, i’ll catch up soon! i believe the half gardner with a barbell is the same, except you start standing up & lie down on the floor. sort of a reverse TGU.
