Don’t know what you’re talking about. 🙂
Of note, and Tom may remember this more, I am sure at one time that it was agreed that any barbell or dumbbell lift could be duplicated using the 2″ bar/dumbbell. But didn’t see anything in the original rules about that.
If you guys don’t mind sharing, I don’t. Friday and Saturday, leaving about the same time as you on Sunday, I think.
Did you forget someone big boy? Al said you were doing the rooms.
Mine’s going out in the mail in the morning. BTW, where are people staying?
Glad you put something up here.
Here is hoping for a full recovery for Frank. I’ll echo the sentiments of all here about the type of guy he is.
I on the other hand think the USAWA is a unique organization. You have all the other letter orgs, with raw, geared, tested, non-tested, etc already. The English added powerlifting because the main drivers over there are big into that venue, not that it is something that everyone wanted. Also, since the IAWA seems to allow for the records, you can already have a meet with those lifts in there. I don’t want to see us become just another powerlifting org.
I’m glad all of you came to the meet. It was a great time. Pretty stiff yesterday, but going away today. Every workout day should be a meet, I would get fantastic workouts, plus all the fun.
Sorry Thom, Jarrod beats you. He had a pretty girl in his article about… what was it about? 🙂
Man, how are we going to get judges, if you keep telling people things like that? 🙂
Al is right.
Jarrod,
That’s exactly how it works. Someone, like John, sets up a meet with the lifts and then people around the country do the lifts. One more reason to get at least couple of people at each club to become officials.
Joe
Mike, to answer your questions, yes and yes.
From the rules:
Hand spacing and grip are of the lifter’s choosing and may be altered on the bar during the lift. The hands may be removed from the bar during the liftDon’t know how many are still alive but here are some that were members:
