Or does the bar just seem to be glued to the floor at a weight you feel like you should be able to lift?
This one. I think my grip just sucks. Story of my life…

Hope some of you all can make it. Still looking for those entries in the mail.

Sounds good Al.

Would you be opposed to the idea of at least starting it out as a postal? I am just thinking in terms of getting maximum participation from as many countries as possible. That way we could hopefully garner interest and get people involved, then move toward an actual world OTSM meet, where we could meet together and contestthe lifts? just some ideas.

I prefer the OTSM tsar or sensei, you can pick either. That being said, I am not oppsoed to the notion. I have studied on it, and have a couple thoughts. In order for it to draw maximum competition and truly be a world meet, I would propose that we either do it as a postal or hold it in conjunction with the World meet or the Gold cup. The Gold Cup would probably be better, as you are not already going throug a full meet. Just a few thoughts.

HAHAHA. I HAD noticed that. I just did not want to hurt your feelings (LOL). I figured you would get to it sometime, and I guess today is the day.

Wish I could get to something like this one of these days. Timing is just bad for me, as school is back in session at that time.

Thanks Al. Looking forward to the 3rd quarter and world postal. I think I have recruited another lifter to represent KCSTRONGMAN!

I think that is a capital idea!

That is what I figured. Thanks for all the work you do, Al.

I think the move was proper and necessary. Me and Lance had trained it strict, and I was horrible (compared to many of the records I saw in the book). Then he told me how people had done it at the meet it made a bit more sense to me. The problem is, doing the lift with the obscene fronthang detracts away from what the lift is supposed to test. So, the solution of two different lifts satisfies that.

Congrats to all.

Though I brought up “poll tax”, I never meant it to indicate that the USAWA was intentionally trying to keep people from voting. I understand that the method was in place far before there were other methods by which we could vote. I also understand that there are particular bylaws that would have to be ammended through the appropriate channels in order for this to change. So, for the time being, we either leave it as it is, or get it added to the agenda at the next national meeting and talk to members to get the appropriate amount of support to get it passed at the national meeting. I am not opposed to this notion, but at the same time I am not sure I want to spend the time sending out letters or knocking on doors to get that support, and I certainly do not feel comfortable asking someone else to do it. I will say that there has not been any time that I felt like my voice was not important in the USAWA, though I have only made a handful of national meetings. And by handful, I think the number stands at 3.

I am going to guess I missed number 2

HAHA. That was a hoot. I still sometimes teel that story, and the clockwork that occurred after missing that first flight.
