Well Al, you are correct. I truly had no idea how much work this entails. Maybe creating a standardized method for results reporting would be a start. SJ, do you have an idea of what that would look like? At first, if we were not doing so retroactively, I thought “well, why not?” After reading al and SJs posts (both gentlemen who have done the job) I am quite hesitant to do anything that would add to the job.

        Dan-
Are you suggesting adding the senior level to the rulebook without eliminating the open? I am not sure how we would go about doing this retroactively. I, personally was more about winning meets than setting records, but I do get the allure of it.

i could see doing a it as an exhibition tied along to a USAWA meet. Maybe have a regular meet or a record day with a gripper meet tied in. I remember in my 2nd strongman meet, which was the JWC meet put on by Thom VanVleck, after the meet, he had a gripper event that was outside the strongman meet, and was for an award of it’s own (seemed like it was a plaque with a mini vise on it. I could see something like that working out. Would a guy intermingle grippers for something like that? I have Ironmind, Heavy Grip, and a few Baraban. I am not sure exactly how to compare from one to another between brands.

Too poor. I guess there are a couple old couch cushions out there.

ok, so Denny denoted successful record attempts in his writeup. I added a photo from the KCSTRONGMAN results. If other clubs want pictoral representation, please email them to me at SalGuimino@yahoo.com so that I can include them.

Ruth, I would have to look back to be certain, and will if time permits, but it seems like it was a postal meet between the JWC and the Dino gym that was determined strictly by the amount of weight each team lifter with no coefficients involved. This is just the way i remember it.

OK, I can appreciate those points. And you are probably right, I reckon I have some work to do. BTW, Chad, you are full of it. You are good at the heavy lifts. You have been in the top 2 or three at the championship on several occasions.
