No…I get that Lance. And my point was that you shouldn’t expect any more than that from T-nation. And although there was no mention of USAWA in the article, it does appear in the video. To me that brings disrepute on the organization because the lift was so objectionable. Maybe it’s just me…-d
Dan – I have pretty low expectations when it comes to T-nation; every once in a while there is an article based in reality…like when Andy Bolton wrote an article about deadlifting.
The Gloved One
My point in posting the t-nation article was that the author did not do much in the way of a literature review, or otherwise, the USAWA would have received some mention, at least in passing. I have not watched the video.

There is lots of silly crap on the internet, not just tnation.

Using a snowblower can be cardio…when they are old and hard to start, and more time is spent cranking on it, than using it (that was a “free” one that my cousin “gave” me). Or, when they are brand new, and move snow as fast as the operator can push it, and there is no slipping when I am wearing yak trax on my boots. I cleaned my drive, and 2 neighbors drives yesterday, and worked up a good sweat!

Very impressive, Timo!

“PS and I got some ole leather that once was a cow hobble. It is covered with cow crap and other dried fluids – should be a great one to use as the “loaner” at the Dino Gym Challenge. haha”
In this day and age, it is important for everything to be organic! 🙂

Al – It does sound like a good OTSM lift! I am guessing that the lift would need to be done off of blocks. Any idea on the bar height?
The Gloved One
Mike – The height of the bar on the Anderson squat is right at 2/3 the lifter’s height.
The height of the bar on the Anderson press is no higher than the lifter’s height, so it can be lowered, but since it is a strict press, it helps to have the range of motion shortened; the lifter’s back can bow, as long as the knees remain locked.
I hope this helps.

I will be competing as well. A 3X shirt for me please.

Wilbur Miller is pretty much a stiff legged puller, and going strong at almost 80 years old.

My sympathies go out to Dale’s friends and family.
The Gloved One
Who is planning on competing in this one?
