Great choice! Congratulations Johnny.
Well, we’ll see, now you ruffled my feathers. Next year we will beat you by 2 points!
I just missed a 2000 Lb. Hand & Thigh by a quarter of an inch.
E.T., It’s liftingliar, all one word! I decided on that because as I got older it got harder for me to make the 75KG. Class, then the 80KG Class, and then the 85KG Class. So guys at work used to ask me “What class did you lift in this time?” and I always lied to them and told them a lighter class. But I never lied about what I lifted.
I just finished watching them. I really enjoyed them. Tanks for the info Lance.
I hope to make it out for this one. It depends on the weather since I am driving. I also suck at most of the lifts in this meet. The DB Walk and the index fingers D.L. I can’t do near what I have in the past and I wasn’t good at them then.
Aidan did his on Thursday, and Barry Bryan, Barry Pensyl and I did ours on Saturday.
Congratulations John! Great lifting and great guy!
Very Good Choice! Congrats Dean.
I hope you all have a great Holiday season!
Thanks guys!
I agree exercise science would help most if not all lifters, but how many lifters lifting today have had access to it? I learned my training systems from reading Strength and Health and Iron Man and watching the lifters at York Barbell train. Many older lifters, like me, especially if they have trained since they were young, have had joints wear out and injuries, like torn muscles, which limit what they can do. I also have seen my strength go down much faster when I hit the mid 60’s then it did before then. I do not expect to ever win a best lifter award again, but the age formula at least gives me a chance to be competitive.
I lifted with her at Clark’s a couple of times.
I think we should go with the British system, as it gives old guys like me a better chance to compete against you young studs.
I took creatine years ago and all it did was put weight on me with no strength gains.
