I am planning to come out and I will probably bring Art Montini with me. I will get my entry in the mail soon. I am going to call Art tomorrow but I am pretty sure he will come along.

Barry Bryan and I did our lifts last weekend. Just e-mailed them to Steve yesterday after getting my printer working again.

They will probably be World records as there are usually 3 officials for the lifts at Art’s Birthday Bash.
Our USAWA records are our national records and need only one certified official to set. The best lifts done at our National Championships are National meet records. IAWA world records require at least 2 certified official to approve the lift.
I talked to Clint today and he told me he only had himself, a friend of his, and me entered in his meet.
I met Joe many years ago at the National Masters. I always bought a video from him when he was filming those meets. He did a nice job at that. Since I have been President of the USAWA, Joe has been calling me every couple of months to tell me how he was doing and let me know about what he was planning in the near future. I just talked to him about 5 or 6 weeks ago and he told me he was doing fine and was planning to hold this big deadlift meet. It was a shock to here of his passing.

Thom- Thanks for a great time! I had never seen a Highland Games competition before and it was fun to watch. THE FOOD WAS GREAT and it was fun to watch the interaction of the Highland games athletes. There were also some great lifts made in the OTSM meet. It was a great day all around.
Happy Birthday Thom! Art and I will be on our way to Missouri tomorrow.
