I agree with ET that it sounds reasonable. Glad that it is a lift that reflects him.
(I only say this because I wonder if Phumchaona Lift reflects Noi’s passion since she was an Olympic Weightlifter.)

Thanks
-Thanks Lance. I would also like to know what is the Clark lift?
-What is the pinch grip deadlift? I thought that this was the original name for the Reeves lift.
-As much as I am against the front hang, I must ask about the pinch-lift strict. I thought USAWA did not duplicate lifts that other organizations already offer. Grip Sport offers this lift.
-Lastly I am curious on how the names of lifts are selected. For example, the original, very old books call “heels together (press)” as the “military (press)” because you stand in the strict “position of attention”.
thank you

January 25, 2017 at 12:18 pm in reply to: Story about never giving up.. ..wouldn't change even a day #27644You need to get your chins as a record. My gawd. You should ask Al because we have it as a USAWA lift. Maybe IAWA will adopt it.

ET, after the meet can you come back to this discussion and comment about the Reg Park Bench Press? I would really like to hear what you have to say.
Have fun. That is a serious line-up of lifts.
Denny, the recent photos of you look great. I am wondering if you are still able to do your Olympic/power lifts e.g. C&J and Snatch?
Thank you so much Al. I greatly appreciated it. I worked so hard for it and only got it after 2 attempts and putting all I had into it. I think the lifters at Iron Warrior Gym thought I was nuts because, of course, they don’t know what a Ciav is.
I have a Postal question too. On the 3rd Quarter Postal meet results, it was not noted at the end of the article that I did a 4th attempt. Just want to confirm that I will get credit for it when the records are updated.
I agree that presenting Timo the Howard Prechtel award and Al & Chad for induction into the hall of fame is very well deserved. Congrats.
Thank you Al.
Since USAWA is about doing different lifts and not just being good at what you are good at, I support this for the great past lifters.
Before I vote, I need to know how this is different then the hall of fame? Isn’t these men being designated in the hall of fame already to mark their fame and achievements in their field?
Sorry for the interrupting your post but… Congrats to Susan! You setting records not only shows other woman that this is a great sport but it also sets the standard for future women to be able to challenge themselves. Thanks, I think you are wonderful!
Thanks. It is an honor to be able to say that I was a part of Eric Todd – the Strongman, team. Okay I am stretching it but it is how I tell the young male college students to look you up on the web (I train in a University weight room). They are undoubtedly impressed by you, which in turn gets me a bit of respect by association.
After seeing the results I realized that IAWA V-bar rules allow a 30-inch bar, which is a foot taller than ours. No matter, it is not as though I have a 30-inch bar to use anyway.
Thanks! I greatly appreciate to be a part of you and Lance’s team. Maybe next year too. 🙂
Thank you. I train very hard. When Denny announces the lifts for the year, I make them a part of my training starting that day.
If not for Postals, I would not be able to participate in competitions.
If not for Postals, I would not do any weightlifting lifts e.g. snatches, cleans, and jerks . However pushing me outside of my comfort zone is what I like about All-Round lifting and can actually be a bit fun. But I am thankful that Denny can’t have us do Heavy Lifts. Those I would like to leave to the big guys and gals.
