As for allegiance, Lance, my suggestion is you take Al’s gear and then lift for Eric’s club. That’s what the rest of us do. I have about 5 Dino gym shirts, a hoody, a sweat shirt, and a pair of Dino Gym underwear that Al sent me….believe me, you don’t want the underwear.

Ironically, I was in the November issue. ….and it’s not name dropping when it’s ALL TRUE HAHAHAHAHAHA. Now if you’ll excuse me I have to make a call to my bestest pal Bill Pearl.

Second, there are times I wish I could have went with you and reading that itinerary was NOT one of them.

Highland Games athlete and sometimes All-RounderTwo members of the JWC were in Columbus that day. They were Wayne Smith and Wayne Gardner. In 2009 I went to the Arnold Fit Expo and they had the barbell that the record was broken on. Misha Kokleav (sp?) Did a Clean & Jerk with it. I got to touch it and inspect it closely….kind of like seeing the bat that Babe Ruth hit a home run with. (I also know many were upset they let Misha lift that barbell so let’s not go there on this thread). Alexeev was one of a kind in many ways. I probably most admire his mental approach to lifting.

Highland Games athlete and sometimes All-RounderI have seen the Jowett photos. I had hoped to be an editor on that book but that never came to pass. He has been great to visit with on the phone and seems genuine in his desire to help others. In 2004 I was supposed to workout with him when I had a trip to Oregon for the Highland Games Masters Worlds. Joe Gold died and Bill went to the funeral and had to cancel our workout….which I totally understand….but I am still disappointed I did not get to work out with a legend!!!!
