My Uncle Wayne still trains even though his body keeps breaking down on him. He has a whole list of lifts he does seated! He even has a steel kitchen chair that he had me take to a welder and reinforce for him! He had bent the back of the chair back to a slight angle and liked it for doing inclines so we welded it in that position (it’s quite an eyesore..but works!) Some of the lifts are concentration curls, seated DB press, upright and incline, and one that he really enjoys…seated DB cleans. He told me that everytime he gets hurt he just finds other things to do and he plans to keep going even if it means all he can do is pinky curls!!

So, Tom’s story is true! My Uncle Wayne would love the idea of seated lifts because that’s all he can do now! If Wayne will let me, I’ll get a photo of him lifting in that chair…he told me years ago he was embarrassed to lift in front of people since he once pressed 370lbs and powercleaned 350lbs….but I admire his tenacity to keep lifting!

We used to have cats around the old JWC gym. One time I had one walk under a deadlift just before I dropped it (almost a cat pancake!) and one time I was doing reps with a bench and a kitten jumped right on my chest as I was bringing a rep down. I got it stopped and was yelling at the kitten to jump off and tried blowing at it….it just purred and rolled up in a ball….while the weigth was shaking overhead!!! I dropped it down on my belly to roll it down my to my waist (yes, when I was a teen, I bench alone…really stupid, I know). The cats were out of the gym from then on while lifting went on!

Personally, I like to keep the chains in the bedroom…..errr….I mean gym, for chain lifting, yeah, that’s what I meant…and my wife and I are very happy….about those chains..in being in the gym….and nowhere else.

Al, let’s think about this…..would I use that GOOD of a picture and besides, you gave me basically hardly any control over the website to do anything (that’s a whole other “control” issue…..). I would find a better picture than that (and by better, one that was uglier)

Al, put me down for a copy and let me know the cost and “checks in the mail”…..gee, that doesn’t sound good….but seriously, I’m in for a copy.

Wow! Thanks, Al! That means a lot coming from you. I enjoy writing, I wish I could quit my day job and write all the time! I was surprised as well when there were three articles! Either I’m that good or they are that hard up!

I am also glad to help promote the USAWA in my writing. This trip to York for the Heavy lift Nationals will be epic!

I think what may have cost him the second date was your advice to examine the condition of the uterus via a rectal palpation……not “just” the gloves.
