Tully, respect your elders and betters…in which case I’m both! I guess after the fat biker chick beat you in your steel cage warm up match for our bout you haven’t learned any humility! HAHA

Highland Games athlete and sometimes All-RounderI would suggest “Round T” or “Kinda Big T” or “Big T, Jr”.
Al, I laughed my rear off on that one. But really, you can’t call him “little”….well….maybe next to John Conner, but he makes Tully and Mark look little.

as far as i’m concerned, take all the dope and stick it where the sun does’nt shine. grow a pair of balls, put the weight on the floor and see what you’re made of.
here endeth the lesson………. lol
As far as I’m concerned….we need more of this kind of attitude. Good one, Dave.

The Zercher Meet contains pretty much ALL the Heavy Lifts PLUS other fun lifts like the Zercher and Steinborn Lifts. To be in the USAWA you’ve got to be a little bit of a masochist….because only a masochist would think Zerchers and Steinborn’s are “FUN LIFTS” hahahaha
Of course, I’m one of them…..

Highland Games athlete and sometimes All-RounderMy Uncle Wayne lifted with Ken at times. Wayne thinks Ken started in 1963. Wayne recalls in 66 or 67 seeing Ken Clean & Jerk 400, press 300, and snatch 285 or 290 weighing around 236lbs. Wayne recalls his Clean and Jerk being real smooth and his press being pretty legit (not a lot of lean back), Wayne said his snatch was his weak lift (but said, “It was mine, too”. haha). Wayne said Ken was “A pretty nice fella….I liked him better than his older brother”. Wayne said there as Gary and Tim McClain and they were all pretty good lifters.

Highland Games athlete and sometimes All-RounderThis will be #11. Steve started it in 1999 and I took it over in 2000. So, there’s “technically” been 11 and this will make 12, but one of them was in Swope Park in KC. I won my first B class that day and had the best overall caber with an 88degrees on the “gold” caber. It was a good day for me!
I have talked to Melanie about switching the HASA Championships back and forth between the “Backyard Games” and Kirksville. Kinda like how I started the Missouri State Championships and I’m looking to move it around to different games in Missouri each year.

Highland Games athlete and sometimes All-RounderChad, I’m a trained professional, it’s called transference, I don’t try and be a pharmacist, ypu leave the psychoANALism to me. Al,Sure, I train in the nude…while I spot my wife when she does the Arthur Saxon lift! At least that’s what it looks like she’s doing.
Al always starts it and I just finish it. I recall him telling me he wanted to keep the pervs off the message board….how could he know I was one of them!!!!
Besides, I’m just jealous because I can’t go to Scotland with you guys and I’m mad because Chad was the last man left that had attended ALL of the HASA championships until now. Now I’ll take the field alone….kinda like the Highlander…there can be only one!
How in the world did we go from shadow boxing to this!

Highland Games athlete and sometimes All-RounderI think the best point trumps the last post! Now, if you happen to have both….like me…HAHA
At any rate, I was watching a show last night on the rubic’s Cube (of which I was champ in my high school with a best solve time of 58 seconds, I could average under 2 minutes).
I guess it’s caught on again and they were interviewing a guy that was champ in 1982. He said, “In my day, you had one Geek for every town and they were pretty much isolated with their weird quirks and ideas….now they can connect on the internet and form their own town of 1000’s of geeks and make what they do seem normal. I thought of the USAWA! HAHA
That guy also had another funny comment. They asked him how to get good on the cube and he said, “Have no friends and practice 10 hours a day…that’s how I became champ”.

Highland Games athlete and sometimes All-RounderYou should pay someone to let you beat the crap out of them as a warm up. Have them put on one of those sumo outfits with all the padding (or just have Tully or Mark do it naked) and then go crazy. I’m sure your wife would then view you as completely sane!!!!!

Highland Games athlete and sometimes All-RounderYou redlight me??? haha
I remember redlighting you one time and getting a “stern look”. HAHA
I KNOW you don’t question me, I just meant that I was hard on John because I KNEW his habits and had it been a three official meet the other two might have not caught it and passed it because it was just a fraction of an inch. Had I not been looking right at his feet the whole time I might have missed it had I been focused on, say, his press out for uneven lockout or something like that.
I am NOT going to move to add officials, or anything of the sort. I just know three sets of eyes can watch for more than on set, or one and a half in my case since I’m part blind in one eye (but I was looking at you with my good eye the time I red lighted you!!! HAHA).
BTW. You ever notice how neither of us can give up on having the last word!!!!
