I will be putting up a report soon. But I will say that it was a great trip. The quick report is Chad was 4th overall, I was 5th. However, I won “my” event, the Weight Over Bar for the 4th time at worlds. Chad did something amazing on a stone lifting event (have to wait for the report on that!). We also got to set a Guinness World Record (and no, not for drinking the most Guinness…but I will say that Chad and I now have our own blood oath story after being out until 3am on Sunday night and a visit to a tattoo parlor….). I will start putting up stories soon and I might have to make the trip next year for the IAWA event!

Highland Games athlete and sometimes All-RounderI will have things jar my memory now. I will be watching a video showing some obscure thing and suddenly remember my granddad doing that! I seriously though he was just messing around doing random things! Now I can’t seem to get my kids to listen so maybe that’s how it goes.

Highland Games athlete and sometimes All-RounderI know Al just left….because he texted me to let me know he would be clamming with Denny this weekend and what I’d be missing out on!
Good luck, fellas!

Highland Games athlete and sometimes All-RounderEric, as a kid I was fascinated with the Guinness book so it was really cool to be the head judge for your attempt. I remember thinking that’s as close as I would get but……..
Chad and I will be up for a Guinness record ourselves! At the Masters Worlds in Inverness Scotland in September we will be taking part in the attempt to break the record for most cabers turned simultaneously.

Highland Games athlete and sometimes All-RounderI read the article…and found a factual error. It referenced his dentist…I know for a fact that Steve said he’s never been to the dentist!!!!! HAHA
At any rate, I think it’s great that Steve is still at it. But I think most of his records are safe from being broken by me!

Highland Games athlete and sometimes All-RounderI am going to sanction a meet weekly next year and make my family compete and rack up points. It will cost a fortune but will be totally worth to dethrone the Dino Gym evil empire! HAHAHAHA
Congrats to the best club in the USAWA….and maybe the best club period!

Highland Games athlete and sometimes All-RounderI agree on the “I admire anyone that wants to improve themselves”. I tried to make plenty of comments on the “tongue in cheek” nature….but it seems about impossible NOT to offend folks these days!

Highland Games athlete and sometimes All-RounderWow, This will be a pretty decent sized meet for an OTSM event. Just a reminder the lifting won’t start until after the throwing and that should be no later than 4pm but maybe sooner. Throwing will start at 10. We will have the platform set up and ready to go for anyone wanting to practice or warm up sooner.
