Where’d you get them. We were running about mm75-85 on Lake of the Ozarks
Went snagging last weekend and the water was too cold and they weren’t releasing water through the dams so they weren’t spawning yet. Very few caught. I only caught one and it was only 29″ so back it went. And I did so wearing a MISSOURI shirt.
We did see a jonboat full of 14 hillbillies that we swore was going to sink, not very smart on their part. According to the license number on it, it was from kansas.
I haven’t been in a few years and they didn’t have such glorious things as pole fitness when I was there, but I’d have to say, seeing a fella in that sport would be odd.
The freakshow though is almost the most entertaining part. Just people watching is an event there.
What was kind of shocking to me when I was there was the emphasis on bodybuilding and that freakshow. We were concerned with getting close to the stage for strongman but as soon as bodybuilding was over, the stage area cleared out and we’d stand right next to the stage. Close enough that we’d chit chat with the competitors. People just didn’t seem to care about it. Or when we’d go watch powerlifting, there was nobody there. It’s as if the emphasis of the Arnold is the sport of looking good, bodybuilding, rather than the strength sports. It’s all about the fake tans and fake cans. I just thought it was odd because I went to see actual sporting competitions.
I saw a really messed up Justa video once of him writhing around the hood of a car holding a rose. Looked like he just woke up in his car as it was morning out in front of what looked like a strip club. He’s entertaining I guess you’d say.
That is damn nasty. WOW
And after competing both days at the KC games weekend before last.
Hope to hear good results from Germany as well. Sounds like an epic trip.
Oh I agree Al, the strap thing is a non-issue that Martin brought up. That was kind of my point, because I don’t think anyone but him is arguing about it. It’s out in the open and everyone knows it, thus it’s not an issue. The only issue is I know Chad wasn’t practicing with them and apparently he should have. LOL
And I hate to admit it, but I do not believe it’s possible, by Dinnie or anyone, to have walked them that far on one lift. Thus, multiple reps are a must.

His actions which he thinks are “serving his cause” are actually doing the opposite. This exactly. I was supposed to meet up with him when I go over there next year to do some stone lifting, but with the way he’s been handling things, I just don’t want to be associated with it. I’ve talked with him quite a bit over the years and he’s never done anything to me, but just his attitude this last year has turned me off.
He threw a fit about straps, but I don’t think anyone would really debate that. Even with straps it was quite a feat and it should be left at that, quite a feat.
The drug part is just uncalled for.
That’s his problem, he may have good ideas, serious concerns…but none of that will ever come out because he immediately goes on the attack against people without trying to talk with them or even knowing who they are or what they’re doing.
That’s too bad a broken strap occurred and then not getting an extra try. But 2 feet is better than what you were telling me your guess was last week.
And yet through all those people when I was there, I was watching the strongman and looked over to see ET.
I went out there a few years ago and it was quite fun. But the crowds were unreal.

And where is Al’s pic? I’ve only seen Chad’s.

He set hook too deep on his first try and ripped a huge chunk from his right hand.Exactly what happened to me when I lifted my 3rd lift. Just as I was warming up.
